We design with purpose. Every outdoor feature we recommend—from hardscapes and patios to local plantings and lighting—is selected to thrive in the unique South Fulton and Coweta County climate while elevating the look and usability of your yard. Our approach combines creativity, practicality, and deep knowledge of the local environment to deliver lasting beauty and value to your Palmetto property.
Palmetto, GA, boasts well-maintained neighborhoods, upscale communities, and stunning green spaces. With master-planned developments like Arbor Hall, Palmetto Lakes, and River Walk Farms, homeowners are expected to maintain a polished outdoor appearance that matches the area’s overall aesthetic. Landscape design goes beyond basic landscaping or maintenance—it’s about creating harmony between your home’s architecture, the surrounding environment, and your lifestyle.
At Hearn Landscape, we approach every landscape design project with a deep understanding of Palmetto’s natural environment and a commitment to creativity and craftsmanship. Instead of using a one-size-fits-all formula, we take time to understand your property’s layout, your personal goals, and how you live and entertain outdoors.
We begin with a collaborative conversation to gather your ideas and assess how the space is currently being used. From there, we develop a custom design plan that brings together practical function, natural beauty, and long-term sustainability. Whether it’s a front yard refresh or a full backyard transformation, we focus on flow, focal points, and features that suit your lifestyle.
In Palmetto, details like soil drainage, mature trees, and sunlight patterns play a big role in plant selection and layout. Our experienced team blends this local knowledge with thoughtful design to create landscapes that feel natural, look beautiful, and perform well throughout the seasons. Every project is installed with care, and we remain available for support even after the work is complete.
Palmetto’s weather can shift quickly, with heavy rainfall becoming more common during the spring and early summer. While water is essential for a healthy landscape, too much of it too quickly can be destructive. Torrential rain can wash away freshly planted beds, compact the soil, flood patios, and overwhelm improperly graded yards.
That is why effective drainage planning is a core part of our design process. We assess the natural flow of water across your property and incorporate features like French drains, swales, or professional regrading to manage runoff safely.
In the Palmetto area—where rolling terrain and large, wooded lots are common—improper water flow can quickly lead to severe soil erosion and plant damage. By planning for drainage from the start, we ensure your landscape remains resilient, low-maintenance, and protected against the elements for years to come.
Every property in Palmetto is unique, from the expansive rural estates near Serenbe to the charming homes in the heart of the city. Our designs are never one-size-fits-all. We tailor every layout, plant selection, and feature placement to complement your home’s architecture, your neighborhood’s character, and the natural terrain of your land.
We regularly work in communities throughout the Palmetto, Chattahoochee Hills, and South Fulton areas. Whether your property is part of a local HOA with specific aesthetic standards or a large acreage lot requiring long-term value and privacy, our team is experienced in designing spaces that meet those expectations while reflecting your personal style and practical needs.
We also emphasize sustainability by using native and drought-tolerant plants suited to the specific climate of South Georgia. By incorporating seasonal color planning, efficient irrigation systems, and smart layout strategies, we create landscapes that look beautiful and perform well throughout the year in the Palmetto environment.
Landscape design involves planning and visualizing the entire layout of your outdoor space before any work begins. Landscaping is the actual installation or maintenance of those features.
Depending on the size and complexity of the project, the design process usually takes between one and three weeks, followed by installation scheduling.
