At Hearn Landscape, we create custom landscape designs that transform ordinary outdoor spaces into beautiful environments that are both functional and inviting. Serving homeowners and businesses throughout Marietta, Georgia, our team develops personalized landscape plans that complement your property while reflecting your style and the way you enjoy your outdoor space. Whether you are starting with a newly built home or updating an existing landscape, we create designs that add lasting beauty, improve usability, and increase property value.
Every landscape begins with thoughtful planning and attention to detail. We carefully select plants, hardscape features, lighting, and other landscape elements that perform well in Georgia’s climate while creating a balanced and cohesive design. Our goal is to build landscapes that remain attractive throughout every season while providing outdoor spaces that are comfortable, practical, and easy to enjoy for years to come.
Marietta is known for its historic charm, beautiful neighborhoods, mature trees, and diverse architectural styles. Every property presents unique opportunities, and a professionally designed landscape helps bring out the best in each one. Landscape design is about much more than improving appearance. It creates outdoor spaces that function efficiently while complementing the character of your home and surrounding environment.
Before developing your landscape plan, our team carefully evaluates your property’s layout, elevation, soil conditions, drainage, existing vegetation, and sunlight exposure. This allows us to design outdoor spaces that thrive naturally while minimizing future maintenance concerns. Every recommendation is based on how your landscape will perform over time rather than simply how it will look immediately after installation.
Whether your goal is to create a peaceful backyard retreat, a welcoming front entrance, colorful planting beds, or a complete outdoor living space for entertaining family and friends, we develop customized designs that fit your lifestyle while enhancing the overall beauty of your property.
Every successful landscape begins with understanding your vision. During the initial consultation, we take time to discuss your ideas, priorities, maintenance preferences, and long term goals for your outdoor space. We then perform a detailed evaluation of your property, studying drainage patterns, soil quality, sunlight exposure, existing landscape features, and elevation changes before creating a customized design.
Many properties throughout Marietta include mature trees, gently rolling terrain, and established landscaping that require thoughtful planning. Rather than working against these natural features, we design landscapes that incorporate them into the overall layout. This approach creates outdoor spaces that feel balanced, natural, and well integrated with the existing environment.
Once your design has been finalized, our experienced installation team brings every detail to life with careful craftsmanship. Throughout the project, we maintain open communication and ensure each feature is installed according to the original design plan while delivering a finished landscape that exceeds expectations.
Proper drainage plays an important role in the long term health and success of every landscape. Marietta receives consistent rainfall throughout the year, and without proper planning, excess water can contribute to erosion, standing water, unhealthy plants, and damage to outdoor improvements.
Our design process always includes a complete evaluation of how water moves across your property. We identify low areas, drainage concerns, and grading issues before recommending solutions that improve water management while preserving the beauty of your landscape.
Depending on your property’s needs, we may incorporate grading improvements, drainage systems, decorative dry creek beds, swales, or other water management features into the overall design. These solutions protect your landscape while blending naturally into the finished appearance, creating outdoor spaces that remain attractive, healthy, and functional regardless of seasonal weather conditions.
Every property deserves a landscape that reflects its unique character. Whether your home features traditional Southern architecture, contemporary design, or historic charm, we create custom landscape plans that enhance the appearance of your property while improving how you use your outdoor space.
We proudly design landscapes throughout many areas of Marietta, including:
Each neighborhood offers its own architectural style and landscape opportunities, allowing us to create designs that are tailored to each property’s individual setting. Some clients prefer colorful gardens filled with seasonal blooms, while others choose elegant outdoor living spaces, native plantings, decorative stonework, or landscape lighting that extends the enjoyment of their property after sunset.
Sustainability is also an important part of every design we create. We incorporate native plants, efficient irrigation systems, durable materials, and practical layouts that reduce maintenance while supporting healthy growth. This thoughtful approach helps your landscape remain beautiful for years while minimizing ongoing maintenance requirements.
Most design projects are completed within one to three weeks depending on the size of the property and the complexity of the design.
