Tree-lined streets and wooded lots are a signature of many neighborhoods in Gay, GA. While they offer immense charm and shade, the dynamic growth of trees creates unique challenges for consistent outdoor lighting. As trees grow, their expanding foliage can quickly obscure previously well-lit areas, leading to new shadows and dark spots.
We meticulously plan for these ever-changing conditions by integrating several key design strategies:
Adjustable Fixtures: We install high-quality fixtures that can be easily repositioned and re-angled as the surrounding trees and plant material grow and change through the seasons. This ensures consistent illumination over the long term without needing a complete overhaul.
Layered Lighting Techniques: We utilize multiple lighting types, such as uplighting for tree trunks and canopies and path lighting for walkways, to create depth. This layering ensures that even if one element is temporarily obscured, the overall visibility and ambiance remain intact.
Strategic Placement: We carefully position lights to avoid potential glare and ensure that the tree itself is highlighted without casting harsh shadows on crucial safety areas like paths and steps.
This forethought ensures a consistent, beautiful light scape throughout seasonal changes and long-term tree growth, maximizing both aesthetics and functionality.
A professional lighting design does more than just light up the dark; it focuses the eye and creates visual impact. We specialize in techniques that highlight your property’s best features, adding depth, texture, and drama to your landscape.
We use uplighting to dramatically showcase the texture of stone, brick, or the crown of a mature tree. We use downlighting—often referred to as “moonlighting”—by placing fixtures high in trees to mimic the soft, natural glow of moonlight. For safety, we use focused path and step lighting that ensures walkways are safely navigable without creating glare.
Our team is skilled at illuminating specific features that define Alpharetta, such as garden statues, water features, architectural columns, and detailed stonework near the foundation. This careful, strategic placement transforms your outdoor space, creating a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere that you and your guests can enjoy long after the sun sets.
At Hearn Landscape, we prioritize long-term value and sustainability in every lighting design we install. We exclusively use low-voltage LED fixtures that offer exceptional brightness while consuming only a fraction of the energy used by traditional halogen or incandescent lights.
This commitment to LED technology provides several crucial benefits for property owners in Gay:
Exceptional Energy Savings: LEDs drastically reduce your monthly energy bills, offering a powerful return on investment over time.
Superior Lifespan: These fixtures last significantly longer than traditional lights, minimizing the need for frequent bulb replacements and reducing maintenance costs.
Durability and Resilience: Our chosen LED options range from warm-toned accent lights to cool, modern designs. All fixtures are specifically selected for their resilience against Gay’s heat, humidity, and occasional winter frost, ensuring reliable performance through all seasons.
By choosing our LED-based system, you are investing in an environmentally sound, cost-effective, and long-lasting lighting solution for your landscape.
